FruiteX-B Pilot Study - Finding A Natural Approach to Joint Health

In an attempt to find a more natural alternative for osteoarthritis treatment, FruiteX-B was tested in an open label pilot study. FruiteX-B had been previously shown to have beneficial effects against oxidation and inflammation that can negatively affect the joint. Other research showed that the center of the FruiteX-B molecule, boron, has been shown to be a novel nutrient in approaching the issues associated with arthritis. Boron has also shown potential to interact with nutrients that are important to the integrity and strength of the bones and joints.

Safer Alternatives Needed

Osteoarthritis is one of the most common reasons for debilitation in America. The current approaches to arthritis have exhibited a possibility to have negative side effects to the gastrointestinal tract. More recently, a new class of arthritis medication has demonstrated a risk to have negative effects on heart health. Safer ingredients for treatment of this widespread issue need to be sought out. FruiteX-B shows promise as a safer, more natural options for approaching the issues of stiffness and pain associated with arthritis.

Successful Investigation

The current study being discussed was carried out in Europe and was designed to investigate the effects of FruiteX-B on the symptoms of osteoarthritis. This study showed FruiteX-B to be effective at reducing the symptoms associated with osteoarthritis.

The participants of the study suffered from osteoarthritis in the knee or hip joint. They were split into two groups based on severity of symptoms. The first group included 10 participants with mild to moderate symptoms and the second group included 10 participants with more severe symptoms.

Results for Mild to Moderate Osteoarthritis group

The group with mild to moderate osteoarthritis symptoms experienced substantial improvements in pain and stiffness reduction and overall joint function.

  • After 8 weeks, 88% of the participants found improvement in the pain experienced during walking and 83% had less pain when climbing stairs.
  • After 4 weeks, 80% of the participants reported using less medication or had stopped taking them altogether. After 8 weeks, 2/3 of the participants stopped using pain medication to control pain.
  • After 4 weeks, all participants had improved function for daily tasks like getting out of bed and taking off socks and shoes.
  • After 8 weeks, 70% of participants had less stiffness and 78% experienced better joint movement.
  • After 4 weeks, 100% of the participants had either less stiffness in the morning or no stiffness at all.

Results for Severe Osteoarthritis group

  • 3/4 of the participants decreased the use of pain killers or stopped using them altogether.
  • 2/3 saw improvements in their ability to bend to the floor
  • 86% of participants were pain free at rest.

How Does FruiteX-B Compare?

  • FruiteX-B showed better results for pain and movement when compared with glucosamine.
  • FruiteX-B showed better overall joint improvement when compared with another study carried out using a boron supplement that was not identical to naturally-occurring boron.
