Studies Show Promise for Vitamin D

FruiteX-B has shown beneficial properties for joint health. 88% of those with mild to moderate athritis in a pilot study experienced less or no stiffness after taking FruiteX-B. 80% of this group also stopped or decreased the amount of pain medicine they were taking. FruiteX-B has been shown to have many different affects that can benefit joints, increasing vitamin D may be just one more addition to the list. Another study showed FruiteX-B increased vitamin D levels on average 19.6% in participants.

Vitamin D Gets Its Day in the Sun

Many people are familiar with Vitamin D's benefits for absorption of calcium and other minerals that are important to strong bones. Bones are the foundation of the joint and strong bones can lend support to the joint and lay a good foundation for healthy joints. While its affects for bone health are well documented, it has recently had a flurry of research and information released on other possible positive effects in the body.

Vitamin D Against Pain and Inflammation

Vitamin D has been shown to be a powerful agent in balancing the inflammatory response. Mounting evidence shows that vitamin D has anti-inflammatory properties, particularly when autoimmune inflammation is involved. This type of inflammation can attack the joints and cause breakdown. There is also research to show that those with autoimmune disease tend to be low in vitamin D. Low levels of vitamin D have also been associated with greater disease activity in autoimmune arthritis (Rheumatoid Arthritis).

There have been a number of studies that have shown a connection between low vitamin D levels and pain in the muscle and skeletal systems as well. One study showed that after 3 months of high dose vitamin D supplementation 95% of the 360 participants no longer had back pain. Another study that observed patients at a pain rehabilitation center showed that those who were vitamin D deficient required 1.9 times the amount of medication and had worse physical function.

A Widespread Deficiency

Vitamin D deficiency is considered to be a pandemic. Studies from many countries show that 30-50% of adults and children could be at risk. The upper limit for recommended vitamin D intake is set at 2000IU but we can make 10,000 to 20,000 from daily exposure to the sun. Since we may not be able to get enough vitamin D through supplementation, FruiteX-B may be a novel way to boost vitamin D
